After a lot of waiting, theorising and speculation, we finally have our first official look at the upcoming Book of Boba Fett Disney+ series after its first trailer.

When we last saw Fett in the after-credits scene of the Mandalorian Season 2 finale, he had just taken over Jabba’s Palace on Tatooine along with his companion Fennec Shand.
Sitting down on Jabba’s old throne, his motives and plans remained a mystery until the new trailer aired on November 1st. Now, we finally have an idea as to what Fett’s grand plan truly is.
On The Throne
During the trailer we see him meeting with various unknown members of the galaxy’s criminal underworld, with many unhappy with his sudden rise to power on Tatooine. Fett makes it clear that conflict was something he took part in while he was a bounty hunter, but believes that’s no longer what he is.
It seems that his objective will be to unify the criminal underworld under him, granting himself and his associates power, wealth, and as he surprisingly states in the trailer, respect.
Yes, the feared ex-bounty hunter Boba Fett doesn’t want to rule in fear as Jabba did, he wants to rule through respect.
Since this is Star Wars, the chances of his rise to power going smoothly are practically zero, and tensions certainly seemed high during the trailer which showed both Fett and Fennec facing off against a few different factions.
Regardless of what goes wrong, the cold and calculated Fett is sure to give fans an exciting and flashy series to enjoy while The Mandalorian Season 3 continues development.
The only thing to do now is wait patiently till December 29th, when The Book of Boba Fett launches on Disney+.
